The following series of images demonstrates nasal cavity and paranasal sinus anatomy. The images are sequential coronal images from anterior to posterior.

This coronal CT scan is the most anterior image in the series. Remember, when looking at coronal images, the patient's right side is depicted on the left side of the image.

  
 

Identify the following:

1. conchae (turbinates)

2. maxillary sinus

3. ethmoid sinus (air cells)

4. perpendicular plate of ethmoid bone

5. hard palate
