MRI: Axial orbit  
 

This is a T2-weighted axial MRI at the level of the orbit. Muscles and nerves will appear dark, as will bony and ligamentous structures. Fat will appear bright, and hydrated structures will be the brightest.

 
 

Identify the following:

1. right lens

2. anterior chamber

3. vitreous chamber

4. right optic nerve

5. medial rectus

6. lateral rectus

7. retroorbital fat

8. internal carotid arteries

9. sphenoid sinus
