Circle of Willis MR angiogram  

This is an MRA representation of the Circle of Willis. This view is as though you are looking up at the base of the brain. Rostral areas are at the top of the image, and caudal areas are at the bottom. The triangular orbital cavities seen at the top can be used to orient the image.


Identify the following:

1. internal carotid artery

2. middle cerebral artery

3. anterior cerebral artery

4. anterior communicating artery

5. vertebral artery

6. basilar artery

7. posterior cerebral artery

8. posterior communicating artery
