Major: Psychological and brain sciences and Spanish double major

Dartmouth highlight: Co-hosting and performing in the KatrinaHelp Variety show to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Favorite professor: Janine Scheiner, a visiting associate professor in psychological and brain sciences. She is so animated and engaging in the classroom.

Extracurricular activities: Students for Africa, Dartmouth Alliance for Children of Color, Vital Communities internship with the Upper Valley Housing Coalition, Valley Food and Farm, and the Upper Valley Transportation Management Association.

Recent academic achievement: This past winter term I did an internship with Vital Communities. One of the highlights was creating character profiles for the Valley Food and Farm website. I had a chance to put my creative writing abilities to good use.

Postgraduate plans: I want to teach in a foreign country for a year or two, then attend graduate school and get a PhD in clinical psychology.

Why I'll support Dartmouth through the Dartmouth College Fund after I graduate: Dartmouth has provided me with many foreign study opportunities and I would love to help give future classes at Dartmouth the same opportunities I have been offered.
