Meet The Dautens

The new co-chairs of the Dartmouth College Fund Committee are Elizabeth "Liz" Deming Dauten '79 and Kent Dauten '77 of Northfield, Illinois. Liz and Kent will carry on the outstanding work of Mike Biondi '79, who passed away this past November, and his wife, Cindy Ginn Biondi '80.

Kent is the president and founder of Keystone Capital Inc. in Deerfield, Illinois, and Liz is a full-time home manager to their four children and a former advertising executive with JWT. Kent graduated summa cum laude in 1977 with a degree in economics, while Liz earned a degree in psychology in 1979. Their oldest daughter, Amanda, graduated with the Class of 2008. Six of Liz's family members are Dartmouth alumni, including her father, Dr. Howard "Randy" Deming '55, and sister Laura Deming '83.

Liz and Kent are currently members of the President's Leadership Council and also served on the reunion giving committees for their 24th and 30th reunions. As co-chair of his 30th reunion, Kent led the class—along with Leslie Embs Bradford '77, Al Gordon '77 and Hugh Frater '77—to set a new gift record for the 30th reunion.
