President Wright convened a February 12 conference call with alumni fund-raising volunteers after trustees approved his plan to close a projected $40 million gap in Dartmouth's operating budget brought on by a loss in endowment value.

Questions about endowment distribution, faculty retirements, the size of Dartmouth's workforce, student programming, and more were answered by the president, provost Barry Scherr, dean of the faculty Carol Folt, dean of the college Tom Crady, executive vice president for finance Adam Keller, and vice president for development Carrie Pelzel.
