Dartmouth Commencement 1771-2008

On June 8 Dartmouth will award diplomas to some 1,700 undergraduate and graduate students—quite a few more than were graduated in 1771. This gallery showcases 237 years of Dartmouth Commencements, an occasion when, as President John Sloan Dickey was fond of saying, "The word is 'so long,' because in the Dartmouth fellowship there is no parting."
