The Aires typically tour twice a year, during winter and spring breaks, to entertain at Dartmouth Alumni Club social events. We meanwhile have the opportunity to bring the Dartmouth spirit to other colleges, high schools, hotels, and fast food joints along the way...
PACIFIC NORTHWEST TOUR 2007. Chillzville.
Winter Tour 2006 had us again tooling up and down I-95 in our 15-passenger minibus, endearingly called the Airesmobile and this year adorned with a large “Dartmouth Aires” sign on the front. After our annual show at the Bement School, we trekked down to New York City to meet up with Zebo and Rollo , later singing two shows at the Spence School. At Yale we joined Mixed Company for a show and bumped into our old friend, Popo V. We went on to entertain alumni in Long Island and Saddle River, NJ and then high school students in Branchburg, NJ and upstate NY, making sure to sufficiently embarrass Popo’s girlfriend by serenading her on stage. Many thanks to our hosts, including Wayne Davis, Ann Merrifield, and the Chestnut and Lohse families, who graciously put up with umpteen smelly, unshaven, and generally uncouth guys populating their homes.
CALIFORNIA TOUR 2006. Mexican food, volleyball, swimming, and lots of reading.
Winter Tour 2005 had the Aires once again packing up and traveling aimlessly around the Northeast. We traveled from Boston to Long Island to New Jersey to Manhattan through Connecticut and back to Boston, bringing those good old Dartmouth tunes to the Alumni Clubs of Long Island, Northern New Jersey (a complete 51-minute set!), Fairfield County, Hartford and Boston. We also sang at the Bement School in Deerfield, MA, the Winsor School in Boston, the Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury, MA, and the Lincoln School in Brookline, MA. In addition, we brought our irresistible charm to Wellesley College to sing with the lovely Tupelos, and provided entertainment at a corporate holiday party. A great deal of thanks to Rick and Jody Simpson, Harvey and Susan Schwartz, and Wayne Davis and Ann Merrifield for putting us up/putting up with us on tour.
EUROPE TOUR 2005. Paris to Italy. Does it get any better?
Winter Tour 2004 brought us to Boston, away from Boston, back to Boston, then to Long Island, off of Long Island, back to Long Island, off of Long Island, and then back again. Whoo! We visited the Alumni Clubs of Long Island (duh); Suburban and Northern New Jersey; and Fairfield County and Hartford, CT. We also sang at Tufts with the lovely ladies of Essence, at the Spence School in Manhattan, the Bement School in Massachusetts, Abington Senior High School in Philly, and a private function or two. Special thanks to all the folks who had us sing for them, and also to Harvey and Susan Schwartz, Anthony and Jo-Ann Smith, Lauren and Bill Huyett, the Routhier family, and Jody and Rick Simpson, all of whom put us up on tour.
COLORADO TOUR 2004. The Nugs, more paintball, 3 hospital-worthy injuries, and the sweetest accomodations the Aires have ever had.
CALIFORNIA TOUR 2003. From models to paintball to rap fights in a Claremont hot tub, this was a tour for the history books...
HAWAI'I TOUR 2002. So simply an affair to remember, cousins.
