Jarret "Pluto" Cato '07

Aside from being an aspiring physicist/lawyer/singer, Jarrett Cato '07 (as in seven feet tall) was a most feared foe of "a cappella." His life's mission had been to destroy all who sang in the name of "a cappella," a musical style he believed to be root of all worldly evil.

Nevertheless, In the Still of one September Night, as Jarrett traversed a Dartmouth road on his way to foil "a cappella" auditions, a bright light appeared before him and a voice spoke: "Jarrett, why dost thou persecute my people? Take up a 'Maddog' and be merry." Jarrett refused. "Thou hast no choice!" said the voice. "Thy new name shall be "Pluto" for thou art now the dog of the Aires, handling all manual labor!"

From that night on, Jarrett "Pluto" Cato sang low and surprisingly high, though he was forever mad.
