Ann Root Keith came to Dartmouth in 2002, during the planning period of its $1.3 billion Campaign for the Dartmouth Experience. Since that time, she has served as director of leadership giving, associate vice president for individual giving, and associate vice president for development administration.
In her current role as COO, Ann oversees an integrated approach to the planning, fiscal, business, and support services of Alumni Relations, Development, and Public Affairs, including communications, events, information management systems, and new media. She also is serving as Interim Senior Vice President for Advancement during the 2012-13 year.
Ann began her career in advancement at her alma mater, Mount Holyoke College, where she gained experience in annual and major giving as part of a $200 million campaign. She served as director of annual giving and later as associate director of development at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Prior to coming to Dartmouth, Ann was an associate in Goldman Sachs's Private Wealth Management Group.
Ann holds a bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where she was awarded a Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowship for leadership and commitment to working in the not-for-profit sector.
