Susan J. Boutwell, Interim Director of Public Affairs

As interim director of public affairs, Boutwell oversees news, content creation, and institutional publications including Dartmouth Now, Dartmouth Life, and Speaking of Dartmouth.

Susan came to Dartmouth in 2010 as senior public affairs officer for strategic communication following a 28-year career as an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor. Much of that time was spent at the Valley News, in West Lebanon, N.H., where she held numerous positions including news editor, assistant Sunday editor, towns editor, and staff writer.
