This summer, Dartmouth's Afro-American Society set out to raise $2500 to plant a tree in honor of Meleia Willis-Starbuck '07. Thanks to personal contributions from students, staff, alumni and parents in addition to donations from a variety of campus organizations and administrators, we are pleased to announce that we have raised over $2500. The tree is scheduled to be planted along with a plaque on the Green in the fall term and all additional money will be donated to the Meleia Willis-Starbuck Memorial Fund.
The Afro-American Society is pleased with the outpouring of support for this cause. We could not have done any of this without the wonderful support of our student body, administrators, alumni, and other friends of the College. Thank you.
