Join Kathy Decato of the Outdoor Programs Office for a snowshoe around the golf course on Wednesday, January 21st from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. Wear warm clothing and boots; bring a hat and mittens or gloves. Meet at the Cross Country Center in the basement of the DOC House at 12:00 PM. Showshoes provided. No experience necessary. Shopping with Diabetes Class on January 27th
Whether you have just been diagnosed with diabetes or are shopping for a family member or friend with diabetes, this workshop can make things easier for you. In this class presented by the Co-op's registered dietitian, you'll have a chance to practice the skills you need to shop for healthful foods that keep diabetes in control. Learn how to read labels and what the best choices are in the grocery store, and get answers to your questions about how to eat with diabetes. Killdeer Farm, a certified organic farm for over 25 years, is located on Route 5 in Norwich, next to King Arthur Flour. Killdeer grows over 140 varieties of produce during the season. In addition to their organically grown vegetables and berries, Killdeer also sells local meat (chicken, pork, beef), a variety of artisan cheeses, milk from Strafford Organic Creamery, and breads from Green Mountain Flour and King Arthur Flour.

The Norwich Farmers Market offers homegrown and homemade products. Every Saturday from May through October, and once a month November through April, vendors unload a rich cornucopia of fresh farm produce, baked goods, and handcrafted items.
The vendors offer their own fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, meat, eggs, honey and maple syrup, fiber products, and an abundance of garden starts and plants. All vendors sell only items grown, raised, created, or prepared by themselves.
