Participate in a DHMC Research Study!
DHMC is conducting an 11-week study that investigates a combined Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Health At Every Size (HAES/ACT) Treatment for depression and obesity in women. Research is conducted at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center by researchers from the Department of Psychiatry. The group therapy sessions are led by a DHMC psychologist, with a small group of other women with similar concerns. Sessions last two hours, and meet at DHMC, at a time convenient for you. Throughout 2014, workshops will be offered in three-part series around specific themes. Come to all three for a more in-depth understanding or choose only those that best suit your needs and goals. Workshops are available to benefits eligible employees and their adult family members.
Spending 15- 20 minutes completing the online Health Assessment is a quick and easy way to determine the current state of your overall health, and to figure out what steps you need to take now to maintain or improve your health in the future. After all, when you're healthy, you have the strength and confidence to be your true self!
