Over 600 employees attended the 2nd Annual Employee Wellness Event on 10/8 and were able to visit with campus partners, participate in wellness demonstrations, receive health screenings, sample healthful snacks, and be entered into some great prizes! Register for Winter FLIP Classes!
Are you looking for a way to stay fit during the long, cold winter months? Or do you want to try a new workout routine to add to your fitness regimen? The Fitness and Lifestyle Improvement (FLIP) classes offered by Dartmouth Athletics is a great way to stay active and have fun through the winter months. The schedule for the winter classes is now up and you can find it here. From "Pilates for beginners" to "Total Body Circuit," there are classes for all levels of experience. You can choose from a morning Aerobic Deep Water Condition class, a lunchtime spinning class, an evening Zumba class, and many more to fit your schedule. Registration starts on Monday, December 9th, at 8 am. You can register online or in person in Room 167 (Alumni Gym) from 8 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 4:30 pm. If you are a College employee on one of the Dartmouth sponsored CIGNA health plans and attend the classes 2 times a week for 10 weeks you will also be eligible for up to $200 reimbursement through CIGNA. For more information on the reimbursement, please see here.
Benefits-eligible employees and retirees enrolled in the Dartmouth College-sponsored medical insurance plan are eligible to receive a $200 reimbursement for the expense of purchasing a membership to or attending classes at any qualified fitness facility. To receive this benefit in 2013, you must exercise twice a week in the gym for 10 out of 20 weeks. Additionally, you must complete a fitness log card and have it initialed by a fitness facility staff member or instructor each time you exercise.
*The deadline to submit for the 2012 Fitness Reimbursement through Anthem is one year, from the date on the receipt, when you purchased your membership, or paid your dues.
The $200 Fitness Reimbursement Benefit has a new name...and new benefits!
In 2014, any employee, or covered family member, on a Dartmouth-sponsored Cigna health plan, can submit for the Wellness Reimbursement Benefit to receive up to $200 per family, per calendar year. The new Wellness Reimbursement Benefit will replace the current $200 Fitness Reimbursement Benefit.
What Can I Get Reimbursed For?
The majority of items will still require a log card to be completed to verify participation of at least 2 times per week for 10 out of 20 weeks.
