White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault

On January 22, 2014, President Obama established a White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault chaired by Vice President Biden with a "mandate to strengthen federal enforcement efforts and provide schools with additional tools to help combat sexual assault on their campuses." 

On April 28, the White House Task Force issued their first report, "Not Alone: The First Report of the White House Task Force Report" with the accompanying website The first task force report aims to tell sexual assault survivors that they are not alone, and that the administration can help schools live up to their obligation to protect students from sexual violence.

Dartmouth applauds the efforts of the Obama administration to draw attention to the important societal issue of sexual assault and help provide a positive way forward that will make our campuses safer.
