CONFIDENTIAL Resources and Support

The resources listed in this section are designated as confidential and may not share your information without your expressed consent unless there is imminent danger to self or others or as otherwise required by law (e.g., mandatory reporting for sexual violence against minors). Confidential resources include licensed medical or counseling professionals (e.g., a licensed psychologist), staff members of organizations recognized as rape crisis centers under state law (such as WISE), and ordained clergy.

On-Campus

  • All Counseling staff are trained to assist any individual who has been affected by sexual misconduct. Liz Stahler, a clinical social worker, specializes in providing responsive counseling and support for victims/survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

WISE Campus Advocate

  • Dartmouth students, faculty and staff are able to meet in person with a WISE Advocate on the Dartmouth campus.
  • The WISE Campus Advocate is knowledgeable about campus and community resources, support services, and reporting options, and can accompany an individual to meet with campus officials, law enforcement, DHMC medical services, and other resources.
  • Campus Advocacy is available 24/7 through the WISE Crisis Line.

  • Dick’s House is open 24/7 during fall, winter, and spring terms.
  • On-call medical staff available 24/7 every day of the year.
  • Provides follow-up and ongoing care for undergraduate, graduate and professional students, including prophylactic treatment, STD/STI testing and treatment, and other medical services.
