January 14, 2011 Dartmouth began piloting a nighttime Safe Ride service to transport students who might otherwise have to walk alone across campus at night. Safety & Security encourages student to walk together and believes there is safety in numbers so Safe Ride will only provide service to individual students who need a ride.
The Safe Ride service is operated by students (or a Safety & Security officer) from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. everyday and is dispatched by the Department of Safety and Security. For a Safe Ride call Safety and Security at (603) 646-4000.
