Located a few miles north of the Dartmouth campus along Lyme Road (Route 10)
in Hanover, the Rivercrest redevelopment project is a joint venture of
Dartmouth College and Dartmouth-Hitchcock. The project will replace the
existing 61 rental housing units with a total of 273 housing units in mix of
single-family, duplex, townhouse, and multi-family style buildings. Rental and
for-sale units will be offered. Construction would be completed in two
phases, with 157 residential units being constructed in Phase I and 116
residential units in Phase II.
Qualifying Dartmouth and Dartmouth-Hitchcock employees will have the
opportunity to purchase homes (single-family homes, duplexes and townhouses) at
Rivercrest. Similar to the program offered at the Grasse Road neighborhood,
prices for new homes will be more affordable than can be found in the Hanover
market and sales will be subject to a option to repurchase the property at a
capped (CPI adjusted) price held by the College or Dartmouth Hitchcock.
