Additional details: Wendy Kopp, founder and chief executive officer of Teach for America, the nonprofit organization that enlists top college graduates to teach in under-resourced urban and public schools, will deliver the main address. In addition to Kopp, this year's honorary degree recipients will be: South African musician, cultural activist, and anthropologist Johnny Clegg; renowned chemist, chancellor of the University of California, San Diego, Dartmouth alumna and trustee Marye Anne Fox PhD '74; Greenland human rights leader, politician, and writer Aqqaluk Lynge; and philanthropist, arts patron, Dartmouth alumnus and trustee, and real estate manager Steven Roth '62, Tuck '63.
High resolution photos from all Commencement-related activities, including the graduation ceremony, will be posted on Dartmouth's flickr page (www.flickr.com/dartmouthflickr) throughout the weekend. A transcript of the event and audio of the speeches will be available by 5 p.m Sunday, June 10. The entire ceremony and video clips of individual speakers will post to Dartmouth's website on Tuesday, June 12.
Press Registration & Passes: Media planning to attend are encouraged to send their name, news outlet, and email address to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, June 8 at 3 p.m. Press passes will be issued at the media check-in table on the northeast side of the Green beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday, June 10.
