Safety and Security Officer William Bean pointed out that all staff --
regardless of their jobs -- serve in the role of teachers in dealing with the
Dartmouth's students.
Frances Vernon '10 asked the Trustees to look for "progressive" candidates who
will further Dartmouth's global perspective.

Assistant Dean of Student Life Pam Misener discussed the need to continue the
College's efforts at building diversity and continuing the work of educating
the College's students and staff about issues of diversity and
inclusiveness.
Assistant Director of Outdoor Programs Brian Kunz urged the Trustees to
consider candidates who appreciate Dartmouth's sense of place, and see it as an
advantage, in choosing the College's next president.

student representation on the search committee.
Graduate student Sara Walker expressed interest in seeing the students at the
College's graduate and professional programs involved in the Presidential
search.
