About Younsook Lim, M.D.
Dr. Younsook Lim and Dr. Jim Yong Kim at TIME magazine's 2006 "100 Most Influential People" event, where Dr. Kim was honored in the "Scientists and Thinkers" category.
Dr. Younsook Lim is a pediatrician at Children’s Hospital Boston, one of the country’s leading children’s hospitals. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Lim graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1986 and received her M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1992.
Dr. Lim has held appointments at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass., and has worked in the pediatric practices of General Medical Associates and Brookside Health Center in Boston.
From 2004 to 2005, Dr. Lim served as a Medical Officer at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, in the Evidence and Information for Policy Cluster and the Department of Child and Adolescent Health. She was an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School from 1995 to 2003.
Dr. Lim is married to Dr. Jim Yong Kim, with whom she has two young sons.
