MCAT

The Medical College Admissions Test

Those students applying to medical school will need to take the Medical College Admissions Test or MCAT. (For Dental School, students will take the DAT, Vet students take the GRE)

Along with grades in your coursework, your MCAT score is a crucial component for admission to medical school. The MCAT is a content-specific exam that tests competencies in biological, physical, and chemical sciences, as well as some in sociology and psychology, research methodology, and verbal/comprehension/analytical skills. Your Dartmouth courses prepare you very well, though committed preparation is also essential. Save your lecture and study notes!
