Some General Facts for Students Interested in Pharmacy

Each school has its own specific course requirements unlike medical school. Check with school to see if AP credit acceptable. In general it is advisable to take:

  • Bio 12, 13, 14*, 46
  • Chem 5/6 and 51/ 52
  • Phys 3/4 or 13/14
  • Math 3, 8, 10 (or another statistics course)
  • Econ 1
  • Speech 20
  • 1-2 semesters of English Composition (Writing 5/ Seminar)
  • Social Ccience and Humanities courses
  • Human Anatomy/ Physiology**

*check with school to see if it fulfills the human physiology requirement
