Hi! My name is Juli Montoya. I am a ’19 born in Medellin, Colombia but currently living in Schenectady, NY. At Dartmouth I am a neuroscience major with a computer science minor. I chose this combination because I truly love both fields and am hoping to connect them by studying the wiring of the brain and doing research to help map the brain. I am an E.E. Just Scholar and have also been part of a neuroscience lab at DHMC since my freshman year. I am pursuing a pre-health track and I would like to go into an M.D./PhD. program after undergrad. While I want to be a surgeon, I know that research is very important in medicine, and would love to be able to learn through my own experimentation as well. I am an ardent animal lover and could literally never hurt a fly. On campus I am part of Alpha Xi Delta, a national sorority on campus, and also work as a tutor through the tutor clearinghouse.
