Dinner with Good Neighbor Health Clinic Doctors

Drs. Don Kollisch and John Howe were joined by NSS students on May 8.  Dr. Howe talked about why he decided to pursue medicine – he has a passion for communicating with patients on a very personal level, which was inspired by observing his father who was a doctor and from visiting Peru for a year without knowing any Spanish at first. Dr. Kollisch asked the students why we decided to come to the dinner and then used our answers to facilitate interactive conversation about the Good Neighbor Health Clinic, how science is integrated into a career in medicine, and the social determinants of health.  Thanks to Dr. Kollisch and Dr. Howe for hosting this very inspiring and eye-opening discussion!
