This past summer term, the Nathan Smith Society partnered with the Student Wellness Center to host a Finals Relaxation Station to help students de-stress during finals week. Stations included a make-your-own trail mix station with healthy study snacks like dark chocolate covered almonds, wasabi peas, and pretzels; an aromatherapy station with fresh scents to bring back to the library and brighten study spots; fun abstract designs to color with gel pens and to draw out people’s creative sides; and a meditation station with mindfulness exercises. A classroom in Carson was held open for four hours to provide a stress-free space for students to relax, refuel, and recharge. Students studying for a variety of finals loved the opportunity to take a break from their work for a few moments.

Special thanks to Caitlin Barthelmes and Carissa Dowd in the Student Wellness Center for all their input and help!
