A rousing dinner discussion about Public Health in the Upper Valley

The event began with dinner by Ramuntos and small table discussions centered around public health in the Upper Valley including individual students’ interests in public health, how Dartmouth students fit into the Upper Valley community, and ways students can escape the “Hanover bubble” and positively engage with the Upper Valley.

Next, NSS executive members led a question and answer session with the panelists about their roles in public health and what big public health issues are currently affecting the Upper Valley, including drug abuse, binge drinking, and isolation. Other discussions revolved around the role of government versus the role of local organizations, and the future of technology in delivering public health.
