SPRING TERM ZOOM COURSE OFFERING: Pillaging Europe:  Nazi Art Theft in World War II (OLLI RIT Course)

Although conquerors had looted art and cultural artifacts during previous wars, the Nazis took this activity to a whole new level during World War II. This six-week course will examine the factors that contributed to this massive theft, how some stolen materials were recovered and what, some 80 years later, is still missing. Learn more.

Each week we are inundated with local and national news articles involving the law. We will review recent cases as they appear in the news and learn how the case was brought and the reasoning behind the outcome. Members of the class will be encouraged to suggest newsworthy cases. Learn more.

During World War II, information often heavily saturated with propaganda was disseminated to wide audiences via radio and newsreels. These novel mass communication methods propagated many distortions of events which are now widely accepted as facts. Join us to hear the rest of the story. Learn more.
