Research Opportunities
Grants for research and internships are available through many of the centers and research groups on campus. Each year, Dartmouth faculty direct more than 1,000 one-on-one independent studies with undergraduates. Opportunities are available throughout the disciplines, from theater to chemistry, with support from sources including the James O. Freedman Presidential Scholars program.
In the Arts & Sciences Graduate Studies programs, student stipends supported by research amounted to $7.7 million for the 2011-12 academic year. Graduate students can check with individual programs or their divisions to find out more about research opportunities in their fields of interest.
