Courses & Calendars

Dartmouth offers more than 1,400 courses in the liberal arts and sciences through the undergraduate college as well as courses in medicine, engineering, and business through the graduate schools. The undergraduate college has a year-round course of study divided into four terms. Most students are on campus for three of the four terms, using the fourth term for internships, study abroad, or employment. Undergraduates usually take three courses per term, three terms a year. Students in the graduate programs follow course schedules and calendars specific to their programs. More calendar information can be found for the major academic divisions of the College below. For information on events around campus, see the Dartmouth Events Calendar. For information on undergraduate foreign study programs, see the Office of Off-Campus Programs. For information on internships and other leave-term work opportunities for undergrads, see Career Services.
