Web 2.0 Tools

Freely available web tools can find a place in most Dartmouth courses. Examples:

• Flickr (image sharing)
• VoiceThread (voice-annotated presentations)
• Delicious (shared bookmarking)
• YouTube (web video)
• Blogs
• Wikis

What all of these tools share is that they can be used by all students in the class to collect content, share it, comment on it or re-use it, either in a restricted private setting, or in dialogue with the world. Using these tools can increase student engagement and lend more authenticity to student projects and assignments.
