The goal of the Dartmouth College Library is to provide materials in all formats to directly support the research and teaching mission of Dartmouth College, as well as the life-long learning needs of the Dartmouth community. The library collections include materials such as print and digital books, journals, article databases, maps, videos, web sites, numerical datasets, musical scores and recordings, and visual image databases, as well as objects, manuscripts and archives.
Dartmouth College students, faculty and staff have access to more than 35,000 digital resources such as indexes, databases and journals, 20,000 print and digital journal titles, 2.7 million books, 12,000 videos, 190,000 maps, 35,000 sound recordings and 450,000 photographs. The subject specialist librarians select materials in consultation with the faculty and administrators in the departments, institutes and centers at Dartmouth College.
