The Laptop Sound Is Mono Instead of Stereo

  • Verify that the audio system is stereo, not mono. (A pair of speakers placed to the left and right of the screen typically denotes a stereo system; ceiling speakers alone typically denotes a mono system.)
  • Check the laptop audio cable connection. Make sure the cable is completely pushed into the jack.
  • Check the file type. Retest with a file known to be in stereo.
