There Is No Laptop Image On the Screen At Start Up

  • Reselect laptop or portable computer on the AV system’s touch panel or switcher. Select an alternate source, then reselect the laptop.
  • Check the connections.
  • Check the video setting on the laptop. For Dell computers, press and hold the [Fn] key, then press the [F8] key repeatedly to cycle through the possible options (the options are internal display, external monitor, or both). For Macintosh computers, check the Monitors Control Panel.
  • Restart the laptop (some older laptops require a restart before an external display is recognized).
  • Restart the AV system. This should only be done as a last resort, as the projector will take several minutes to cool down before restarting.
  • If you have not already done so, call 646-1155.
