The Laptop Network Connection Works In the Office, But Not In the Classroom

  • Check the control panels on the laptop. For a Macintosh, check for Zones in the Chooser; for Dells, open a network browser and look for activity in the icon in the upper-right corner.
  • Check the connections of the Ethernet cables, dongles, and cards to make sure they are all seated properly.
  • Try a different Ethernet jack.
  • Reboot the laptop.
