Viewing RSS Feeds in a Web Browser

To view the RSS feed(s) you created, go to the Computing home page and click on the orange RSS button in the right-hand sidebar of the browser window. The presentation of the resulting window will appear differently, depending on the browser you are using. We recommend using Safari or Firefox. (Internet Explorer for the Macintosh will not display the RSS feeds.)

You can also use a news reader to subscribe to the RSS feeds, if you prefer. We recommend doing a Web search for "RSS reader review." You will have a variety of options to chose from.

NetNewsWire Lite for the Macintosh is one option. If you have installed it, click on the Subscribe button at the top-left portion of the NetNewsWire Lite window. Enter the URL of the RSS feed you want to subscribe to, then click Subscribe. The feed should appear in the left sidebar of the News Reader window. Click on the RSS feed you just subscribed to; the feeds will appear in the sidebar on the right.
