Styling Page Content

Using Headings Instead of Bold Text

  • Do not use B (bold or strong) for subheads on a page; instead, use the predefined "headings" from the pull-down menu in OmniUpdate, Heading 1, Heading 2, etc.
  • Do not use a colon at the end of a heading.
  • Do not use a H3, H6, etc. to style a paragraph.

Body Text

  • All other text that does not appear in a Heading, a bulleted or numbered list, or a table cell must be placed in paragraph tags to retain styling. The paragraph styling is available in the pull-down menu in OmniUpdate's Page Editor as "Normal."

Aligning Text

  • Do not center a paragraph of text as it is difficult to read.
  • Do not use the Headline styling on a paragraph of text.
  • The default for text is aligned left, so you only need to modify this if your desire is to have right aligned text.
