What If My Laptop Is Normally Used on the Wireless Network?

The Desktop Backup software can only back up computers connected to the network via Ethernet. If you normally connect via wireless, you will need to connect to the wired network, disable your wireless connection and make sure you have a valid Internet connection. Alternatively, you can restart your computer after disabling the wireless connection to get a fresh network address.

If you have questions, please contact the IT Service Desk (Help Desk) at 646-2999 and select from the options provided, send electronic mail to help@dartmouth.edu, or call your department's IT support office.
