There are a few things you should know before you start:

  1. There are two repositories: SafeGuard and FileStore. SafeGuard is where all files that contain confidential information must be stored. FileStore is where all files that do not contain confidential data can be stored.
  2. Macintosh computers must use the DocuLauncher application prior to accessing Documentum each time. If DocuLauncher is not used, your files are not secure.
  3. You must check any file back in on the same computer it was checked out on.
