Forwarding Your E-Mail

To forward your e-mail from your Dartmouth.edu account to another account follow the steps below:

  1. Login to BlitzMail
  2. Click BlitzMail from the menu bar then click Preferences then click the Auto Actions tab.
  3. Place a check in the Forward All Mail to: field then enter the complete e-mail address that you want all mail sent to your Dartmouth.edu account forwarded (e.g. jad123@yahoo.com).
  4. Click Apply.

It is important to note that once you do this, any e-mail being sent to your account after this is set up will be forwarded to the account you specified. There will not be a copy in your Dartmouth.edu account. If you lose messages from the account that you forwarded your mail to, we will not be able to restore your Dartmouth.edu account to get them back. The messages will never have been in your Dartmouth.edu account in order to get backed up.

If you want to forward all mail to a different account, and retain a copy in your Dartmouth.edu account, when you enter the e-mail address that you want your mail forwarded to in the  Forward All Mail to: field enter "me," in addition to the e-mail address you're specifying. For example, enter "me, jad123@yahoo.com".
