Edit DND entry

To add to or change the information about yourself in the Dartmouth Name Directory (DND), select Edit DND entry. You can enter or modify your nickname(s), your preferred electronic mail address, your campus paper mail address, your telephone number, or your BlitzMail password.

Changing your password

To change your password, on a Macintosh, select Edit DND Entry from the BlitzMail menu. A dialog box will appear. Click on the Change Password button. On a Windows computer, select Change Password from the BlitzMail menu. A dialog box will appear:

Changing Your Password

Enter your current password, then enter your new password twice (limited to 8 characters) to make sure there are no mistakes. (Note: If you use Oracle Calendar (CorporateTime), your DND password must contain only upper and lower case letters and numbers, and should be eight characters long. Do not use special characters (e.g., $ or %).

Click the Change Now button on a Macintosh or the OK button on Windows. Your password from then on is the new one.

Customizing BlitzMail

Preferences offers you a number of choices to customize BlitzMail's operation to your individual requirements. For example, Automatic Actions lets you record a message that you are absent and not available to answer electronic mail (referred to as a "vacation message"); the text of the message is automatically sent to every person or mailing list that sends you electronic mail while you are away.

Emptying BlitzMail trash

Empty BlitzMail Trash permanently deletes all messages in the BlitzMail Trash folder.
