Mathematica at Dartmouth

How to Obtain Mathematica

Academic Computing and the Math department have 25 floating licenses for Mathematica for Windows, Mac OS X, and UNIX platforms (including Linux). These licenses are for curricular or research use.

If you would like to install Mathematica on your computer, send e-mail to susan.a.schwarz@dartmouth.edu. Mathematica is installed on the public UNIX computers run by Academic Computing.

Mathematica Fonts

Mathematica has its own special fonts. If you have installed Mathematica on your desktop, these fonts are automatically installed. If you are running Mathematica remotely, you will need to connect to a font server to provide these fonts. For instructions on connecting to a font server, see How to Run Mathematica Remotely Under X Windows.
