Connecting From Windows

To connect to a UNIX computer and run a program, you will need to install SSH Secure Shell. Most users will also want to install ReflectionX to allow a graphical user interface.

Steps for Connecting to a UNIX Computer

  1. Run SSH Secure Shell/SFTP.
  2. Run ReflectionX.
  3. Run the X program - SAS, Mathematica, jmenu, etc.
  4. FTP users can use SFTP to transfer files.
