XDarwin is a port of Xfree86 to the Mac OS X platform.
It has many nice features, including OpenGL support and rooted/rootless modes.
XDarwin does not support the aqua window manager (as of Sept 12, 2002), but OroborOSX is the next best thing.
XDarwin has OpenGL support (in software); it will have OpenGL support in hardware in the next release.
