Connecting with Mac OS X

Command Line Interface

To connect to a UNIX computer from a Mac OS X computer using a command line interface, start up the Terminal  program that is in the Application -> Utilities folder, then issue the command ssh or sftp. For examples of using ssh and ftp, see the UNIX Command-line SSH/ SFTP Web page. If you prefer using an sftp client with a graphical interface, see the Fugu (SFTP Client) Web page.

Graphical X-Windows (X11) Interface

Mac OS X 10.3 and later comes with Apple's own X11 software that can be installed from the Mac OS X installation CDs. X11 software for Mac OS X 10.2 and earlier is available at the XDarwin Web page.
