How Do I Install and Configure the Software for My Dell TrueMobile Card?

After the TrueMobile wireless access card has been installed on your laptop, the first time you power on your computer, it will detect that new hardware has been installed and open the New Hardware Found window.

Computers Running Windows XP Professional

  1. Click OK in the Found New Hardware window.
  2. To configure your card to work with the Dartmouth Network, see Configuring Your Windows Computer to Use the Dartmouth Secure Network or Other Dartmouth Wireless Networks.

You should now have a connection to the Dartmouth network using your wireless access card if you are in range of an access point. If you have a problem connecting, try shutting down your computer (not just restarting), then turning it back on.
