Carry-on or Check-in

< Previous | Next >

If you do not want to risk losing or damaging your laptop, treat it as carry-on baggage at all times. If you must check it in, use the original packaging if you still have it.

Placing your laptop inside a checked suitcase, even if it is surrounded by soft items such as clothing, does not provide adequate cushioning and can result in damage, especially to the display. Furthermore, once your suitcase is checked in, the laptop is not covered by the airline's luggage insurance because electronic equipment is specifically not covered.
