Staff from administrative departments may obtain assistance with computing
tools and resources from the Administrative Consulting Services group. Each
consultant in the group provides a local "help desk" for the departments
assigned to them, offering help for desktop hardware, Macintosh and Windows
operating systems, standard productivity applications, and set up of new
machines. Each office also has developed specialized areas of support, unique
to the needs of the departments it supports. The group's mission is to actively
support and educate administrative department staff in the efficient and
effective use of desktop operating systems and productivity.
In addition, many departments have their own computing support staff. This
staff works closely with the Administrative Consulting Services consultant
assigned to their department.
