Repair Services

Computing Services has certified technicians on staff who oversee the diagnosis and repair of failed hardware and certain software issues. This service is offered at competitive rates for time and materials, generally $75/hr with a one-hour minimum.

AppleCare, HP, and Lenovo extended warranty plans and other service and maintenance agreements are available, and encouraged, for campus users.

To find out the status of a repair

  • Call The Computer Store at 646-1232 weekdays between 8:30am and 6:00pm or saturdays during term from 12pm - 4pm, or send e-mail to the.computer.store@dartmouth.edu

Schedule a Pickup or Delivery

If your computer equipment requires service at  The Computer Store in 012 McNutt Hall, a pick-up and delivery service is available free of charge. This service is available to all on-campus College departmental offices. The pick-up and delivery service is intended to provide a convenient option to the campus for getting equipment to and from The Computer Store, located 012 McNutt Hall.

To schedule a pick up or delivery, fill out and forward the attached form to the.computer.store@Dartmouth.edu or via Hinman Mail.

If you have questions, call The Computer Store at 646-1232 weekdays between 8:30am and 6:00pm or saturdays during term 12pm - 4pm, or send e-mail to the.computer.store@Dartmouth.edu. You'll be asked to provide information about your equipment and the nature of the problem or service required.

Warranty Information

Each product carries its own manufacturer’s warranty, so be sure to check the warranty as soon as you open the package.

If you purchase hardware from The Computer Store that needs to be installed inside your computer, for most hardware items, The Computer Store will install them at no additional charge. If you install them yourself, you will void the warranty on that component. This does not apply to components that are purchased through the Repair Shop. Hardware that is purchased and installed through the Repair Shop will be charged an installation fee. This does not apply to items covered under your computer's warranty. Maintenance

Repairs made to new personal computers are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. After the warranty expires, we can perform complete repair and maintenance services on a time-and-materials or contractual basis.
